CPD Disability Talent ID Workshop
New CPD workshop coming to Berks & Bucks to raise awareness of the Disability Talent Pathway
The Berks and Bucks FA are delighted to announce that on Monday 18th March they will be hosting a very unique CPD workshop that is open to all coaches regardless of their current involvement in Disability Football. Will Perkins, Talent Confirmation Lead (12-16 Disability); will be delivering this 2 hour workshop where participants will be given key information to increase their knowledge on the type of player who may be eligible for the talent pathway.
The role of mainstream coaches cannot be underestimated in the process. There are an estimated 6% of players within mainstream leagues that are eligible for an England Disability Team. Who knows there may be a future England International currently playing in your team that currently doesn’t know about the opportunity to represent their country.
Professional coaches, teachers and club administrators are also invited to attend this workshop which will cover the following:
- Player pathway
- Age, stage and classification
- Eligibility and classification
- Recognise talent/potential
- International game format
- Referral process
- What can you do to help?
- Action planning
All participants will receive 2 hours CDP hours.
