We are looking to recruit two ambitious graduates or experienced sports coaches to join our staff team at Sport Society and Fulham United FC for this coming September. Both roles will involve work as a PE Teacher/Sports Coach with a more senior Head of Coach Development position available for the right candidate.

Founded in January 2021, Sport Society is a Sports Coaching company that delivers high-quality PE Teaching and Sports Coaching provision for Independent Schools and various Sports Clubs within SW London. Providing sports sessions to thousands of children each week, we continue to expand our programmes and endeavour to raise the standard of sports coaching within our school and club communities over the next few years. Working with children aged between 4 and 16, this is a chance to join one of the fastest growing sports coaching companies in the UK and help to contribute to high quality sporting provision at an exciting time for the project.

Partnered with 8 Independent schools in SW London, we deliver both morning (8.00 to 10.30am) and afternoon (1.30 to 3.30pm) games sessions each day, with FUFC sessions taking place in the evenings until 7.00pm and on Saturday mornings during term time. In addition to our school, University and club programmes, we also deliver birthday parties, holiday camps, sports
tournaments, small group coaching sessions, indoor football leagues and run corporate sports events during the summer months.

The successful candidates will work alongside 6 full time and over 30 part time sports coaches. Our staff team is made up of PE Teachers and high-level sports coaches, possessing strong professional standards and a vast experience of working in schools with many working previously at senior management level. There is a huge opportunity to support the growth of our sports coaching
programme in the coming years and for career progression for those who aspire to achieve a senior level of sports coaching or PE Teaching in the future.

The ideal candidates will have:

  • A passion for coaching and supporting the development of children across all sports
  • A willingness to go above and beyond and to fully immerse themselves in our community
  • A positive can do attitude with a desire to build strong working relationships
  • Hold at least 2 years’ experience of working in a sport or education setting
  • Candidates must have a strong sporting background with football ideally as a strength and a willingness to coach both rugby and cricket to 7 to 12 year olds during the academic year
  • The positions would suit male or female coaches who are either looking to progress in their coaching or relish the opportunity of hybrid working across education and grassroots sport
  • Already possess or working towards their FA Level 2 qualification (UEFA C license)
  • Degree and/or a teaching qualification is desirable

Salary, Holiday and Benefits:

  • £24,000 – £32,000 annual salary (dependent on qualifications and coaching experience)
  • 3% company pension contribution
  • 25 days annual holiday (excluding bank holidays) taken at specified times during the year.
  • Average working week will consist of 25-30 hours of sports coaching alongside some administrative work to fulfil the requirements of the role.
  • Full Umbro staff kit
  • Company laptop
  • Additional incentives and over time offered for the right candidate
  • A high level of training and support offered to each employee at the company

Sport Society is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment.
