We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Sport Welfare Officer. This countywide role is part of a national network of Sport Welfare Officers that has been created across England to support National Governing Bodies (NGBs) and their local clubs to promote good practice and safe sport for children, young people and adults on a local level.

About the Role

The role will contribute to the establishment of good welfare practice with safer club environments for participants and sports clubs, moving from welfare compliance to effective safeguarding culture.

You will work with and support local sports club welfare officers, providing training, education and information to build an effective and sustainable welfare culture within local club environments in order to deliver safer club environments for participants

You will have an excellent knowledge of safeguarding and a passion for safeguarding children and adults so their needs, expectations, and safety come first.

You will have the ability to deliver training or workshops and strong organisational and interpersonal skills to enable you to work effectively with others in partnership.
