Northamptonshire Sport is a leading physical activity, health and wellbeing charity based in Northamptonshire, delivering national initiatives locally. We collaborate with local and national partners to change the system, influencing strategy, policy and approaches, tackling inequalities and supporting communities to change lives through widening participation in physical activity. We also deliver sport participation events, physical activity programmes and wellbeing projects.
About the role
The Active Environment Officer is a key role in promoting and facilitating healthy and active lifestyles through the design and development of the built and natural environment. In this role you will build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders across different sectors, providing high quality advice, guidance and best practice on creating an Active Environment
About you
You will have considerable experience of influencing systemic and structural change, including driving forward strategy and associated plans. You will have credible knowledge and expertise around the Active Environment and areas such as planning, transport, leisure and housing development. You will be adept and confident at influencing change, through relationship building, collaboration and convincing business cases that result in positive changes for the Active Environment.
