Following a huge month of sport, which featured both the women’s and men’s singles finals at Wimbledon, England winning the Cricket World Cup for the first time, and a British win at the British F1 Grand Prix, Bark.com – Europe’s leading online local services marketplace – has revealed that there was a 162% increase in the number of requests for tennis coaching.

They analysed demand data for tennis coaching and discovered there was a massive rise in Barks over the weekend, peaking at a rate of 80 requests an hour between 3pm and 8pm on Sunday afternoon and into the evening.

Bark also analysed its internal demand data for tennis coaching over the last three months, and revealed that while demand crept up through May and June, as the Wimbledon finals aired the numbers soared, culminating in peak demand during the final set and subsequent 90 minutes after the Federer/Djokovic final on Sunday.
