Oxfordshire Cricket, in partnership with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), wish to appoint a Cricket Development Officer to manage and deliver Women and Girl’s programmes across Oxfordshire.
The officer will provide community based cricketing opportunities, both competitive and coaching, for women and girl’s. The Development Officer will use the power of cricket as a tool for change; increasing confidence, communication, leadership and enjoyment in cricket and physical activity.
This new and exciting role seeks an energetic and enthusiastic individual who has a passion for supporting and developing people, and working with multiple partners and organisations. The role combines coaching and development work and will be responsible for engaging women and girl’s across Oxfordshire into becoming active members of local cricket hubs or clubs, feeding into festival events throughout the summer.
You will need to be passionate about, and committed to, cricket development at a local level and for this role, it would be an advantage if you have experience of cricket/sports development at a grassroots level coupled with a sound knowledge, appreciation and understanding of the game.
Candidates must demonstrate both team working skills and the ability to work unsupervised using their own initiative. You will be a self-starter with energy and enthusiasm together with good administration and organisational skills. Equally you will be an excellent communicator with a passion for the development of cricket/sport for young people.
