We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced and enthusiastic PE
Teacher / qualified coach to join the Sports Development Team and make a real difference to the delivery of Physical Education across the borough. The experienced and qualified specialist will work alongside our team of Sports and Active Health Coaches and Bikeability Instructors, delivering on our comprehensive ‘Active Schools’ Coaching Programme.
The ‘Active Schools’ Coaching programme, is funded directly through local primary schools utilising their Sports Premium Funding. The specialist will be required to work alongside teaching staff to deliver quality physical education sessions during curriculum time, enhancing the schools provision of Physical Education, School Sport and Healthy Activities.
The specialist will also be responsible for running afterschool sports clubs and developing community sports sessions. They will need also to be aware of local opportunities available for young people to continue in their chosen activity outside of school.
We are looking for someone with experience of delivering across a range activities. A NGB level 2 qualification or QTS status will be essential.
The position is for term- time only and initially for 12 months. You will be required to be flexible in work hours and have the ability to operate at locations around the borough.
