Sportable is a sports data company that is revolutionising how we view, understand and interact with live sports today. With rugby being our primary focus, we are working with a number of top teams and broadcasters; creating and developing state-of-the-art devices that enable sport-specific data to be delivered to TV and to fans in real time. Our expert team is working alongside some of the biggest names in broadcasting to bring this new technology to the masses and cultivate fan engagement.

The successful candidate would be responsible for pushing the boundaries of system performance through data gathering, testing and validation. You will also support the operation of Sportable systems in time-critical operations such as setup and operation in live matches and training sessions of elite players.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support operations and represent Sportable on matchdays, client sessions and introductory demonstrations.
  • Support day-to-day operations and testing of new products.
  • Analyse large quantities of data to evaluate and improve performance of the product.
  • Educate customers on best practice using Sportable’s technology – including the integration and application of Sportable systems – to improve individual and team performance.

  • BSc or higher in Sport Science, Sports Technology or equivalent discipline.
  • Proactive sports person, ready to spend a big part of his/her time “in the field”
  • Competent using Excel or similar software packages for data analysis and interpreting results
  • Attention-to-detail to carry out testing sessions in a structured manner with a scientific approach.
  • Experience playing rugby (amateur level or above)

Personal Qualities:

  • Interest in current sports trends and data analytics
  • Able to communicate and work effectively in high pressure situations.

  • Hands-on experience with sports technology (GPS, video analysis, tactical applications etc.)
  • Experience with coding of match events from video or live during matches
