Working as part of a small but progressive team in central Birmingham, the position of Senior Partnership Manager – Young People offers a fantastic opportunity to take up the challenges and rewards of helping Sport Birmingham to become part of a world-leading community sport system.
This new role is part of a new Senior Management Team structure and will play a significant part in the next phase of the growth and development of the business. It will make a big impact on the young person agenda at both a strategic and delivery oversight and management level.
The main purpose of this role is to be the strategic lead for partnership work linked to the children and young people agenda. Physical and Mental wellbeing along with Individual development are key themes of the Central Government and Sport England strategies, which have been highlighted in the Sport Birmingham strategy under ‘Enhancing Quality of Life’ and ‘Strengthening People and Communities’ objectives.
The Senior Partnership Manager will focus on engagement with external stakeholders, including partners across public, private and social sectors, to meet joint priorities and provide thought leadership to inform, shape and develop programmes to target key audiences.
More specifically the role will include lead partnership/project work for the following theme areas:
• Education (Schools, Further and Higher Education)
• Young People and Life Skills
• Community Outreach
The role is part of the expanded Senior Management Team.
