Primary School Sport Coach

Since 1988, Everton in the Community has been at the forefront of social intervention across Merseyside, not afraid to tackle issues which others shied away from. We use the power of sport to motivate, educate and inspire people in our local communities to improve their life chances.
We have a great opportunity for a Primary School Sport Coach to deliver and monitor high quality coaching programmes to schools throughout Merseyside, to increase participation among participants of all abilities. This project is supported by and takes inspiration from the award-winning Everton in the Community charity which aims to deliver ground-breaking programmes to promote health, education, social inclusion and equality of opportunity across Merseyside.
We are looking for an individual who can deliver high quality PE and PPA sports sessions to primary school children, with ability to strongly plan and monitor coaching programmes to schools throughout Merseyside, increasing overall participation among students.
The successful candidate must be able to engage students through coaching sessions, with ability to develop numeracy and literacy resources to be used in Premier League Primary Stars programmes. Essentially, you must have experience of working with young people ideally in a School, sport or community setting.
Ordinarily, the team is based within the Everton in the Community Campus at Goodison Park but in light of the ongoing pandemic the team is working on a remote basis. This position is on a fixed term basis, aligned to funding. The closing date of this advert is on Wednesday 31st March at 11:59pm.
