Lions Sports Academy – Operations Officer

A remote roll but will be required to travel to fulfil duties. The Operations Officer will be responsible for the logistics of the Lions Coaches Network, to ensure the network runs smoothly and professionally, working alongside the Network manager to ensure high-quality coaches are recruited and best resourced across our partner organisations.

Main duties and responsibilities will evolve over time but the main areas of focus, to begin with, will be:

  • Liaises with the sales team to target areas for recruitment.
  • Organising coaches’ schedule to make sure we have the best people in the right places 
  • Schedule and attend interviews with prospective candidates
  • Tracks and manages refer a friend scheme
  • Complete Initial calls & book coaches to tasters.
  • Working with LSA team to refer coaches from own networks – ‘refer a friend’
  • Work from LCN Bible to make sure all procedures are followed to the best standard.
  • Responsible for the coaches timetable and keeping deputy and any other tools used to keep on top of coaches current and up to date with any changes
  • Responsible for placing coaches into opportunities
  • Responsible for the upkeep of coaches documents and have a system to know when documents need updating.
  • Have contingency plans in place to make sure that we prevent missing sessions
  • Uphold an excellent approach to Safeguarding in young children
  • Complete Initial calls & book coaches to tasters.
  • Finding and recruiting great people into the network
  • Follow up calls with coaches booked on to tasters.
  • Assist LCN Manager with getting the availability of each coach within the network before the start of each term. 
  • Write and posts job adverts on indeed and other job sites.
  • Keep Safer Recruitment Forms/Other documentation up to date.
  • Work with Finance to make sure coaches invoices are accurate and paid on time.
  • Any other tasks as required by the job from time to time.

The main KPIs will be:

  • Initial Calls and coaches booked to taster
  • Coaching Hours Filled
  • Gross profit margin
  • Opportunities/sessions filled in 2 weeks
  • Coach referrals per month

  • Excellent at building relationships over the phone
  • Driving licence and mode of transport
  • Outstanding time management


  • Experience in logistics
  • Experience with scheduling and relationship management software
  • Experience in recruitment
