NCS MANAGER

Sheffield United Community Foundation is seeking to employ an enthusiastic, charismatic and dedicated individual to join our successful NCS team. The newly appointed manager will be responsible for the delivery of the NCS contract for Sheffield United Community Foundation.

High Level Summary:

Term: Full time – 35 hours – 12 month fixed term

Salary: £27,000 to £29,000 per annum

Start Date: November 2021 (or sooner if possible)

Closing Date: 22nd October 2021

Interviews: Week commencing 25th October (to suit)

About the role:

NCS is a government funded programme which aims to bring 15-17-year olds together from different backgrounds, embarking on a journey that builds life skills for work and life whilst taking on new challenges and meeting new people. During programme, the young people get the opportunity to take part in a range of outdoor activities as well as making a difference in their local community.

Sheffield United Community Foundation is a delivery partner who works closely with 10 schools/colleges across Sheffield in order to bring NCS to as many young people across the city as possible.

The candidate will be passionate about working with young people and have a desire to develop the skills of those young people. The candidate will have good knowledge of NCS and understanding of youth engagement and experience in either planning youth engagement programmes or recruiting.
