Saints Foundation bring Southampton FC to the heart of the community, using the power of the club and our passionate team to help fulfil individual potential and make Southampton a better place to live for all. Through our Involvement pillar, our aim is to ‘Support people and their families, regardless of risk factors or perceived barriers, to create a community that is safe for all, where everyone can contribute and feels accepted’.
What will you be doing?
You’ll be working closely with the Involvement Projects Manager and be responsible for the co-ordination and development of our ‘Chances’ programme. You’ll be delivering sport and activity sessions that support children in care and the youth justice system, which aims to reduce the number of young people engaging in offending behaviour and at risk of becoming NEET. You’ll also be coordinating these projects across the Southampton area and liaising with external stakeholders to ensure the project achieves positive outcomes and hits KPIs.
You’ll be based at St Mary’s Stadium, in the city centre, just a 20-minute walk from the train station or if you’re a driver there’s free parking! There is also the option for flexible home-working a few days a week to ensure you get the balance you need to get the job done.
You’ll be provided with our Saints Foundation branded uniform supplied by Hummel, free tea & coffee (including our very much loved daily 3pm snacks!) and the opportunity to go make a positive input to our local community.
How this benefits you…
If you are successful, you can look forward to a healthy benefits package;
- Access to x2 free match tickets for every home league game
- Access to our staff Health & Wellbeing initiatives (Mental & Physical Health).
- 26 days’ holiday per year.
- Contributory Pension Scheme.
- Incentivised Private Medical Insurance Scheme.
- Child Care Vouchers.
- Worldwide Travel Insurance.
- Free onsite parking.
- Discounted Southampton Football Club merchandise.
Is this you?
If you have previous experience in delivering successful projects in communities and working with young people in a community setting or with challenging behaviours, then you’ll know what it takes. You’re a people person and comfortable communicating to anyone. You understand the challenges in Southampton and want to make a long-lasting change, and you’re really enthusiastic about it! Plus, you’re super organised and excellent at building relationships.
We encourage anyone who is interested in this role to apply. We are very keen to get a diversity of background, culture, experiences and ideas into all areas of the club. This is a role that will offer development, mentoring and training to the successful candidate.
