If you have a genuine passion for supporting people, join us as an XPLORE Health Referral Weight Management Coordinator at Waterfont Leisure Centre in Woolwich, South East London. You’ll help children, young people and their families to improve fitness, health- and ultimately, quality of life. The XPLORE programme works with children aged 4-17 years and their families to support them to eat well, move more and feel good. This position is based on a 23 month fixed term contract.

Across our partnerships we deliver a number of Physical Activity Referral programmes. Our Health Teams work as a multi-disciplinary team alongside a number of health, education and social care professionals to provide support to children who are above a healthy weight and their families.

Ideally we’re looking for experienced Instructors – people inspired by the opportunity to make a difference. You’ll need to hold either a sports coaching qualification or a Level 2 gym instructor qualification, and have experience delivering physical activity sessions to children and young people.

In return, we offer a range of benefits that you’d expect from the UK’s largest leisure provider:

  • Pension schemes
  • Childcare vouchers
  • Ride to work scheme
  • Discounted membership at our leisure centres
  • The opportunity to join the GLL Society and have a say in how we’re run plus associated social events
  • Career pathways
  • Ongoing training and development to help you to be the best

Few fitness careers are as rewarding as this and there are numerous opportunities for further training and development.

If you feel your experience matches this role, apply now.

All pay rates are subject to skills, experience, qualifications, age and location.

To be shortlisted for the role, internal applicants will need to demonstrate their commitment to GLL by becoming a Society member where eligible.
