The Role:

At Leicester Tigers, we are excited to announce that an opportunity has opened up to join our Communications Department, as a Digital & Social Media Officer.

The primary focus of the role will be to ensure that Leicester Tigers supporters are entertained and engaged in all areas of the club, using a full range of media formats, with a particular emphasis on digital and social channels.

Reporting directly to the Head of Communications, and assisting the Digital & Social Media Manager, the successful candidate will be joining an experienced communications team within a unique and exciting environment. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Creating and publishing relevant, original, entertaining and informative content to an agreed schedule.
  • Delivering digital and social media content from across the club, including partnerships, marketing, retail and community messaging, as well as the rugby.
  • Driving the engagement of supporters, both locally and globally, across club digital and social channels.
  • Managing creative ideas from initial conception, through to filming, editing and re-packaging for individual platforms.
  • Working closely with Digital & Social Media Manager, Communications Team and other departments to deliver content to the highest standards and to the right markets.
  • Assisting in digital/social media reporting in relation to KPIs and ROI, and subsequently making suggestions on improvements from the results.
  • Monitoring trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy to ensure Leicester Tigers have the most effective output for the team’s efforts.
  • Reflecting and promoting the club’s key messages and values.

Working within a fast-paced and high intensity environment, the successful candidate will need the ability to think on their feet, effectively prioritise their workload, and attack challenges head on.

Essential:

  • At least 2 years’ digital and social media experience in a commercial or sports setting
  • Competence in full Adobe Suite, specifically Premiere Pro and Photoshop.
  • Experience in video filming, production and editing, as well as photography.
  • A deep understanding of various social media platforms; inc. strengths and weaknesses.
  • A full and valid UK driving licence, as well as access to own transportation.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.

Desirable:

  • An undergraduate degree in Media, Social Media or other relevant field.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing practices.
