Sport:80 is an award-winning provider of technology solutions to the global sports industry. The company designs, develops and supports innovative cloud-based solutions that are used by clients across the UK and United States, from Skateboard GB to USA Track & Field.

The company is looking to recruit a creative and driven individual to become the focal point of its marketing operations. The right candidate will be the first recruit to Sport:80’s marketing team, joining a friendly, close-knit company based in Kelham Island, Sheffield. They will be encouraged to flourish in this role, taking ownership of the company’s content strategy and making a significant contribution to the on-going growth of the business.

The role

As the Content Marketing Executive, you will work with our Head of Business Development to take the lead on content creation across the business. You will have a flair for creating content in all forms to be used across our website, social media channels, client communications, and press opportunities. You will manage projects that focus on brand awareness, lead-generation, and client relations. This will see you work with our service providers, partners, press contacts and other third parties to maximise the impact of company content.

Within this role you will channel your creativity and bring new ideas, approaches, and perspectives to the company’s marketing operations. Roles and responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver the company’s content strategy across various channels
  • Create quarterly content plans aligned with business objectives and activities
  • Design and deliver end-to-end marketing campaigns
  • Create materials to support industry events, product launches and multi-touch marketing campaigns
  • Ensure all content maintains the company tone
  • Develop and manage relationships with external stakeholders to produce and publicise content
  • Apply an analytical approach to campaign and content performance to develop future content strategies and plans
  • Work with departments to continually develop your understanding of the company’s value proposition and product portfolio

What we are looking for:

  • 3+ years’ experience working in a similar role
  • Experience in delivering B2B marketing and content strategies
  • Excellent copywriting and proofreading ability
  • Experience in using email marketing tools (e.g., MailChimp)
  • Experience in managing website and social media content
  • Experience in PR
  • A good understanding of SEO principles and how to apply them
  • Excellent IT skills including use of Apple and/or Microsoft software
  • Educated to degree level in a relevant field (min. 2:1)

Desirable but not essential skills & experience:

  • Experience using Adobe software packages
  • Experience using Google Analytics
  • CIM qualifications
  • Experience in using marketing automation systems
  • Experience in shooting and editing video
  • Experience of delivering projects to multiple geographical territories
  • Knowledge of cloud-based technologies
  • An interest in sport and/or technology
