We are pleased to offer this Community Officer (Sport and Leisure) role at Havant as part of the Community Team, facilitating a wide range of sport and leisure infrastructure projects to enable active lifestyles.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with other Council Officers, local residents, statutory and voluntary agencies to help meet the needs of local communities.
The post requires a proactive person who has worked in the Leisure, Play or Sports industry who can evidence exceptional organisational skills and has project management experience.
You will need to enjoy a challenge, whilst working as part of a team which aims to create a positive difference for local people through developing our local leisure, sport and play provision.
You will have the ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with a variety of agencies and people, to ensure tangible and sustainable outcomes.
You will need to support and develop projects and initiatives in response to the needs of local residents in partnership with other agencies.
The successful candidate will hold a full clean driving license and have access to their own vehicle.
The working hours will be 37 hours Monday – Friday with occasional evening and weekend working as required.
At present this role will be predominately home working with occasional office work subject to permission and H&S clearance.
