Open Age was established in 1993 and we’re now celebrating almost 30 years of championing an active life for older people.
Working across Kensington & Chelsea, Westminster, Hammersmith and Fulham, we run over 300 different activities for older people from three Open Age centres and over 40 community venues each week.
From boxing to ballet, baking to blogging, we support anyone aged 50 or older to sustain their physical and mental fitness, maintain an active lifestyle and strengthen their sense of community.
We’re now looking for a Centre Co-ordinator to join us on a full-time basis, supporting our centre on Harrow Road. You will also be expected to support other Open Age centres (based in West London) when required.

As a Centre Co-ordinator, you will ensure our centre on Harrow Road runs smoothly on a day-to-day basis, establishing a warm and stimulating atmosphere.
Managing the daily programme schedule, you will ensure it is up to date, on display and the reception volunteers have been fully briefed.
You will also undertake a range of admin duties to assist the Senior Co-ordinator, including compiling reports, managing attendance registers and carrying out the daily banking.
Additionally, you will:
- Recruit, induct, train and support reception volunteers
- Establish new classes on our database
- Set up rooms for the various daily activities
This role will require the lifting of chairs and light furniture.
To be considered as a Centre Co-ordinator, you will need:
- Excellent admin skills and attention to detail
- Strong IT skills and a familiarity with data entry
Experience of recruiting, supporting and working with volunteers would be beneficial to your application, as would a current First Aid or Emergency Aid Certification.
